KVKK Privacy Notice and Explicit Consent

In accordance with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK"), we would like to inform you about how your personal data is collected, processed and transferred when you use the JuniorLog app.
A. Offline (Local) Use and No Data Processing
JuniorLog offers a privacy-focused experience. If you use the app without registering (without creating an account), the baby/pet information, health records, growth data and routine logs you enter are not transferred to any server and are not processed or collected by us. This data is kept only in your own device's storage. When you delete the app from your device, all of your data is permanently lost.
B. Data Processed When You Create an Account (Cloud/Supabase)
When you give your consent to "Create an Account" in order to use the app on multiple devices, prevent data loss (cloud backup) or use features such as family sharing, the following data is securely processed on the Supabase infrastructure:
- Identity and Contact Data: Your email address, phone number and password.
- User Content (Including Sensitive Data): The name, gender and date of birth of the baby or pet whose profile you create, health/vaccination records, growth charts, and the documents and photos you upload. (Data about a baby's health is "Special Category Personal Data" under KVKK, and your explicit consent is required for cloud backup.)
- Family Sharing Data: Family name, family members' email addresses, names and roles (Admin / Editor / Viewer), invite codes and the visibility settings of shared profiles.
- Transaction Security Data: Device information, IP address, in-app purchase (Pro version) status.
C. Purposes of Processing
When you create an account, your data is processed in order to provide the app's services (vaccination/routine reminders), synchronize your data across devices, provide customer support and fulfil our legal obligations. If you use family sharing, the data of the profiles you share (including health/vaccination records, growth data, documents and photos) is shared with the other members of the same family according to the role you give them and the profile visibility you choose.
C.1. Family Sharing
Family sharing is entirely optional. When you invite someone to your family, the person to whom you pass on the invite code at your own responsibility can, once they join with it, view the data of the profiles you selected (including special category health data) and, if their role allows, edit it. Invite codes are valid for 7 days and can be used once. The Family Admin can remove members and change their roles; members can leave the family at any time. A member who leaves or is removed loses access to the shared profiles. When a user joins a family, the existing data on their device is replaced by the family's data. It is your responsibility to obtain the consent of the people you share family data with and, for children's data, to hold legal custody or authority.
D. Transfer of Data
The data collected is stored encrypted on our cloud service provider Supabase (overseas servers), which has high data security standards (ISO 27001, etc.). Only the necessary anonymous technical data may be shared with RevenueCat for in-app purchases and with Google AdMob for ad display (in the free version). Your personal data is never sold to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
E. User Rights (KVKK Article 11)
Users who create an account can at any time permanently delete their account and all related data on Supabase servers by following Settings > Delete My Account. Leaving a family and removing members is also done under Settings > Family. When no other member remains in a family (the last member leaves or deletes their account), all shared data of that family is deleted. You may contact us for your other KVKK rights.
Explicit Consent
By ticking the checkbox below, you confirm that you have read this privacy notice and give your Explicit Consent to the processing of your personal and special category data for cloud synchronization (Supabase), to its storage on overseas servers and, if you use family sharing, to its sharing with the family members you choose.
