1. Two Different Usage Modes
- Local Mode (No Account): If you do not create an account, JuniorLog reads and writes your data (baby/pet information, vaccines, photos) only in your phone's local storage. Neither we nor any third party can access this data. When the app is deleted, the data is completely removed from your device.
- Cloud Mode (With Account): If you sign up so as not to lose your data, your information is transferred to the secure Supabase database. This transfer is protected with AES encryption standards.
- Family Sharing: In Cloud Mode you may optionally create a family and add other users with an invite code. All data of the profiles you share (including health records, documents and photos) can be viewed or edited by people who join the family, according to their roles. The Admin can choose which profiles each member sees. Share the invite code only with people you trust. When a member leaves or is removed, their access to the shared profiles ends. Family data is visible only to family members; we do not use it for advertising or marketing.
2. Information Collected and Third Parties
To keep the app sustainable, we use the tools of the following trusted partners:
- Supabase: Database and user sign-in (only for those who create an account).
- Google AdMob: Uses device advertising identifiers (iOS advertising identifier / Android advertising ID) to show ads in the free version. Google's consent form may be shown in Europe and similar regions.
- RevenueCat: Manages Pro membership (in-app purchase) processes in the iOS version with anonymous identifiers; we can never access your credit card information (payments are made directly through Apple). There is no Pro membership in the Android version.
3. Data Security and Children's Privacy
JuniorLog is designed for parents and pet owners. The app lets parents keep track of data about their children. Parents who create an account acknowledge that their children's data (growth, health, etc.) is backed up to the cloud with their own consent. Industry-standard encryption methods are used for data security.
4. Data Deletion Policy
When users request "Delete Account", all sub-profiles (baby/pet) belonging to the account, uploaded health documents and routine histories are immediately and permanently deleted from our database. If family sharing is used: a member who deletes their account or leaves the family loses access, and the shared data of the remaining members is not deleted. When no other member remains, all data of the family is deleted. The last admin cannot delete their account while other members remain; they must first hand over the admin role.
